Midagi vanadest aegadest, London

Mu puhkuse postitus on pooleli, aga see tuleb homme. Praegu postitan siia midagi, mis kunagi ammu kirja sai pandud (ikka paar aastat tagasi, veebruar 2011?) ja mingi hetk draftiks tehtud, aga täna erinevatel põhjustel jälle mu blogi avalikuks osaks tahab saada.

I should have done this a while ago already! So.. I went to London and Cambridge for a week! But that was a few weeks ago so I’ll make it real short:

London – Wednesday to Friday. I met Zoe (which was more difficult than you might guess..), walked around London late in the night and talked a lot with Zoe :) It was so sunny and warm so we had picnic (and lots of muffins) in Hyde Park and once Cami came (read: hitched from Maastricht to London) we had picnic and wine in St. James Park when waiting for my bus to Cambridge.

Cambridge – Friday till Monday. Many little things together resulted in me waiting for ages for someone (eventually anyone!!) to come and pick me up from the bus stop. Other than that, Cambridge really was amazing. And also super crowded with people I know. I cycled around the dark streets of Cambridge, had dinner with Toni and Alessio, saw a very good play (that was all the first day ;)), had breakfast with Germaine and Franci, went to a classical Indian music concert (with Indian snacks!) with Toni (it was so like UWC!!) and later the two of us completely failed at making dinner, which we still very much enjoyed in spite of the ruined food, badly dressed salad and an awful smell of burnt fishcakes (probably even had more fun because of the absolute failure + we still had rum and cheesecake...;)). Then of course the UWC lunch at a chicken eating place and vegetarian haggis with Britta for dinner. On Monday, the farewell day, still had enough time to go to biochemistry lecture and have both pizza and sushi for lunch with Britta and Toni.

Back in London – Monday till Wednesday. Had fun with Zoe again finishing a movie we had started the previous week and eating some random stuff and ice cream (yay). Tuesday I finally managed to meet with Vivi. We spent most of the time sitting and chatting on the King’s College terazza overlooking the Thames with the London Eye just there in the backgound and later just sat at Zoe’s place while she was out. After Vivi left and Zoe returned, we just stayed up till around three when I left and took a bus back to Victoria station and to the airport from there.
All together, it was amazing. Seeing people I love talking to and laughing at random things... Like being back to Duino for just a sec...
